About Virginia Family Wellness

About Us

Who We Are

You probably want to know who you're actually trusting with your story. Fair. We would want to know the same thing too.

So before we ask you to tell us about yourself, here's a little about who we are.

Virginia Family Wellness was built around a simple belief:

People deserve thoughtful, personal mental health care.

Too often, getting help can feel impersonal, overwhelming, or harder to navigate than it needs to be. We wanted to create a practice where people could receive excellent clinical care while still feeling seen as a person—not a case, a diagnosis, or a number.

At the heart of the practice is a commitment to understanding and improving your story, journey, and wellness.

Our Approach

Your Story. Your Journey. Your Wellness.

Care begins with understanding the person—not just the symptoms.

Your Story

There is a reason you’re here.

Your experiences have shaped how you think, feel, relate to other people, and move through the world. We take the time to understand that story rather than reducing you to a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

Your Journey

Where you are today isn’t necessarily where you’ll be tomorrow.

Your needs can change. Your circumstances can change. Your treatment may need to change with them. We offer different types and levels of care so your support can evolve as you do.

Your Wellness

Mental health care isn’t only about making symptoms go away.

It’s about helping you function, connect, cope, communicate, and build a life that feels more manageable and meaningful. Your wellness is the reason we’re here.

Care For When Things Change

Your mental health can change over time. The kind of support that helps today may not be what you need later. We’ll be there to support you wherever you are on your journey.

Virginia Family Wellness offers a continuum of care that includes individual, couples, family, IOP, and PHP—so there are different options to turn to as circumstances change.

You may come to us for one service and eventually need another. You may use more than one at the same time. Or you may need a different level of support during a particularly difficult season.

Our goal is to have the right kinds of care available when you need them.
