Resident In Counseling

Mary Rose Purcell

LMHP-R, MS

Hello, I’m Mary Rose. I am dedicated to guiding individuals toward balance, growth, and empowerment. With a passion for promoting well-being, I combine evidence-based practices, mindfulness techniques, and a person-centered approach to create a therapeutic space where healing flourishes. My goal is to equip individuals with practical tools that can be seamlessly incorporated into their daily routines, preventing overwhelming feelings and fostering resilience.

I focus on cultivating positive communication and problem-solving skills for children struggling with big emotions. Witnessing the transformation as children develop a toolkit for managing their emotions and navigating the challenges of growing up is incredibly rewarding.

I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults. These life stages are often filled with transitions and unique challenges. I find immense fulfillment in providing support and guidance during these critical periods of development.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a person-centered framework. I prioritize collaboration, allowing clients to determine the pacing and topics of our sessions. Additionally, I adopt a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the importance of sensitivity and providing space for individuals to process events at their own pace.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These modalities help address individual needs by focusing on the interplay between thoughts and experiences while enhancing relationship-building skills. Integrating art and play into sessions allows for alternative forms of expression, which is particularly beneficial for children.

If you seek a transformative journey toward balance, empowerment, and a supportive therapeutic relationship, I invite you to explore the possibilities. Your well-being is my priority, and I look forward to joining your path to personal growth and fulfillment.
